CONTRIBUTES TO A STONE ?
No doubt that you are approached many times with requests for support.
Yet we want your attention for a group of people from Alkmaar and
surroundings, that up till now have not been in the publicity; the
Jews of Alkmaar and the region.
The
last years the Jewish community starts blooming again. However the
community leads a wandering life, because they have no house of their
own. In the north of the province “Noord Holland” there
is no synagogue anymore and they are depending on the Jewish communities
in Amsterdam and Haarlem or the community centres.
The Foundation Alkmaar Synagogue wants to establish a multifunctional
centre and it speaks for itselves that the foundation needs financial
and moral support.
So far we have received this from Jewish and non Jewish private persons,
the friends of the Alkmaar Synagogue and of a number of foundations.
At the moment there is a unique chance to adopt one or more stones
of the former synagogue. The price for one stone is € 25,00.
When you adopt a stone a certificate will be sent to your home address.
